에스프레소 페이퍼 필터/espresso-paper-filter

A small paper filter placed at the bottom (or top) of the basket. It filters fines to remove tiger-striping and flecking, strips some oils, and — most notably — speeds up flow (e.g. 28-29s to 23s) and raises extraction, with no harm to crema. Food-safe paper is hard to source, so many punch Chemex filters with a 2.25in EK punch (check fit for VST and other baskets).
